Ashley started working in the lab as a post-baccalaureate research assistant in the summer of 2013. While she has primarily been working on the Attention and Fear-Learning study and Personality, Decision-Making, and Fear-Learning studies she has also worked on a MRI study and at the VA Hospital in Minneapolis. In 2014 she became the Attention and Fear-Learning study coordinator and in 2015 she became lab manager. As lab manager Ashley works with study coordinators, conducts trainings, and continues to run participants. Ashley grew up in Forest Lake, Minnesota and in 2008 graduated, magna cum laude, from Hamline University with a degree in Theatre Arts Management, and minors in History and German. Ashley began her career working in non-profit theatre arts organizations including History Theater and Sample Night Live as a stage manager, administrative coordinator, and development associate. In 2014 she decided to return to school and take psychology courses through the continuing education program at the University of Minnesota with the long term-goal of becoming a clinical psychologist. Ashley and her husband Dylan enjoy gardening, cooking, playing board games, and hanging out with their Senegal parrot, Piccolo!"
